harvest time

the oak and chestnut firewood is stacked up and ready for winter...

I feel so abundantly wealthy with natural produce just now! Really only beginning to indulge in the overwhelming supply of peaches, tomatoes, grapes, walnuts, hazelnuts, plums, figs.....oh lala! These amazing tomatoes were acquired in exchange for some of our peaches. They really taste out of this world! I trust we will have our own tomatoe plants next year once the vegetable plot gets underway..
Did I tell you we have been converting our old French barn.. Well I'm going to be doing some before and afters soon for you to see so come back soon..!

Well autumn hues are gently emerging here in rural France and the sun is still bathing our fields with warmth. It's such a lovely time of year when summer turns to autumn and it gets me started on new and exciting projects. I am going to be weaving over the next months so I'll be posting my progress as I go along.

Meanwhile I snatched a moment to capture this beautiful hydrangea - an amazing bloom with it's ever changing rusting petals.
